We actually had our first sail yesterday.
It lasted all of 6 minutes. The riggers, sailmakers and boat builder were all on the boat and not long after we hoisted the mainsail the riggers noticed a minor problem with the shrouds fittings (where they met the spreaders) so we had to drop the sail and return to base. The riggers will be fixing the problem today and we will all go out again for another test.
Typically the sun has gone and it is raining today.
The lounge floor at home is covered with the food, medical kit, boxes of manuals, charts, navigation tools, tool and spares. We are not sure how it is actually going to fit into the yacht since there is just a small amount of designed storage space.
Anyway one step closer.
