Friday's update

We did managed to get out for another sail with the riggers and the builder. It went well. Sailed with the genoa and the Code 5 (That's the front sail and a similar type of front sail that attaches to the sprit - the pointy stick thing at the front of the boat).
So now the sun is shinning and the builders have been on the boat all morning sorting out some more last minute glitches and touching up the paint work.
Jon has been paying lots of people their final payments so we can get customs clearance but there is still a few more things that will need to be done before we leave for real.
I have managed to get the Mini-C Inmarsat satellite system to work and now all I am waiting for is for Steve to get down here and put on a 9pin connector so we can get the B&G nav stuff to talk to the computer.
The Irridium phone is working fine so we can get our weather files and send SMS. Strange though we can't receive SMS unless they are sent via the Iridium website.
Meanwhile we are both quite frustrated that this whole thing has taken so long so there has been a loss of humour in the house. Hopefully we will find it again as we set sail for the warmer northern waters.
I'll be watching the game tomorrow thinking of you all.
